Programme Overview:
The Master of Corporate Governance offered by TAR UMT aims to produce graduates with solid corporate governance knowledge and practical skills to perform their task in integrating the efforts of various stakeholders for promoting corporate performance. It is also to provide graduates with opportunities for continuing professional development and enhancing lifelong self-development in leading change and transformation, whilst meeting the challenges of the information age.
Successful candidates of the TAR UMT Master of Corporate Governance programme will be awarded Graduates status by Chartered Governance Institute of Malaysia (CGIM) (formerly known as Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA)). The Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualification is a professional qualification which is internationally recognised.

Minimum Entry Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with non- relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
English Language Requirements
1) Malaysian Students
MUET Band 4.0/ IELTS Band 6.0/ CEFR Mid B2/ TOEFL iBT 60/ equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
2) International Students
IELTS Band 6.0/ CEFR Mid B2/ TOEFL iBT 60/ equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
