3rd Annual President’s Tea Party: Fostering Meaningful Engagement and Academic Inspiration
We are delighted to share the key highlights from our third President’s Tea Party, held on 14 April 2026. The event brought together a vibrant community of students for an engaging and enriching afternoon, aimed at strengthening connections and inspiring academic aspirations.
The highlight of the session was an insightful dialogue with the University’s leadership, including the Prof. Dato' Indera Ir. Dr. Lee Sze Wei, President; Prof. Dr. Loke Chui Fung, Vice President of Research & Development and Commercialisation; and Prof. Dr. Chin Mui Yin, Director of the Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research. Through candid sharing of their academic journeys, professional experiences, and personal reflections, the speakers provided valuable perspectives on postgraduate education and career development. They highlighted the diverse benefits of pursuing postgraduate programs, offering students a clearer roadmap for their future academic pursuits.
Beyond the dialogue session, the event also featured interactive segments, including ice-breaking activities, a group photo session, and informal engagement with facilitators. This event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, motivation, and community building. It reflects TAR UMT’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment that empowers students in their pursuit of excellence.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
