KUALA LUMPUR, 4 August 2026 – The Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research (CPSR), Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) successfully organised the CPSR Research Culture Workshop Series 2026: Publishing in Top-Tier Journals. This workshop brought together researchers and postgraduate students for a day of insightful discussions on academic publishing.

The workshop featured Senior Professor Dr. Garry Tan Wei Han, who shared practical strategies on identifying suitable journals, understanding publication quality indicators, and drafting manuscripts that meet the standards of top-tier journals. Participants also gained valuable insights from Mr. William Loh Wui Lun of Emerald Publishing, who delivered an engaging session on publication ethics, research integrity, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing.
The workshop reflects CPSR's ongoing commitment to fostering a dynamic research culture while supporting TAR UMT researchers and postgraduate students in producing high-quality and impactful research publications. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, followed by a group photograph with the speakers and participants.
