TAR UMT and Shanghai Jinli Law Firm Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance China–Malaysia Industry and Academic Collaboration
Kuala Lumpur, 19 June 2026 – Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) and Shanghai Jinli Law Firm formalised a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in education, research, industry engagement, talent development, and international exchange between Malaysia and China.

Representatives from TAR UMT and delegates from Shanghai Jinli Law Firm gathered for a group photograph following the formal signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Following the signing ceremony, the delegation toured several facilities, including the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS), the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FOET), the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, the I2Hub WorldSkills Training Centre, and various laboratories. This visit opened opportunities to explore collaborations in artificial intelligence, digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, engineering education, and innovation.
Through this partnership, TAR UMT and Shanghai Jinli Law Firm aim to foster sustainable academic-industry collaboration, promote innovation and talent development, and strengthen China–Malaysia cooperation in higher education, research, and technology transfer.
