Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry
The industrial chemistry programme offers a valuable educational path for students, with strengths that make it highly beneficial. Focusing on Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) provides students with essential knowledge and skills required by the chemical industry, while subjects like Testing Laboratories and Advanced Industrial Organic Chemistry deepen their understanding of core principles. The inclusion of the latest environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and carbon reduction courses ensures graduates are equipped to meet industry requirements and contribute to sustainability efforts. The programme also serves as a practical training platform, instilling discipline and work ethic, and producing well-rounded graduates sought-after by various industries. Market relevance, practical application, and the integration of non-chemistry subjects further enhance graduates' preparedness for diverse challenges. Although there may be limitations in research roles and opportunities, the programme's comprehensive scope and industry-specific knowledge make it a valuable choice for aspiring industrial chemists.
