Graduates of this programme can be employed as:

• Experts or specialists in the built environment section e.g. green and sustainable technology, contracts management, strategic procurement, construction innovation, habitat and house price, urban microclimate simulation, virtual reality simulation in building design, Building Information Modelling (BIM), conservation of historic architecture sites.

Minimum Entry Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of TAR UMT; OR

• A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR

• A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.

Candidates without a qualification or working experience in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the minimum CGPA based on the above. 

English Language Requirements

1) Malaysian Students

• MUET Band 3.5/ IELTS Band 5.0/ CEFR High B1/ TOEFL iBT 40/ equivalent; OR

• Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English

2) International Students

• IELTS Band 5.0/ CEFR High B1/ TOEFL iBT 40/ equivalent; OR

• Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
